| Shelter Valley Pines
Close to Finchstone | A gem. The first 9 are fairly easy and flat with 5 par 4/5's. The first hole is a very hilly par 3 & very tricky. If you want a workout, the back 9 will wear you out if you carry. Several of the holes are sweeping & Majestic. If you're ambitious, you can carry your clubs from Finchstone. It's 4 km walk with a steep downhill. I try & do this once a year. | https://www.sheltervalleypines...YTh |
| The Mill
Right in Cobourg | 9 Holes on a fairly tight course, but so convenient. Several Par 4's with a great pub/restaurant framed by a beautiful stone former water mill. A must visit for a leisurely 9 holes followed by a relaxing dinner or drinks. Recommended. | https://www.themillincobourg.c... |
Port Hope Golf Course | 18 holes and fairly flat. A heritage course that stretches back possibly into the late 1800's. The course was recently engineered to accommodate luxury housing and the owners added to the property by building additional holes directly on the shore of Lake Ontario. Some long holes that really carry. The classic Penryn Mansion accommodates large events and is timeless. | https://www.porthopegolf.ca/ |
| Dalewood
 | North of Port Hope. 18 holes. A semi private club with some cache that hosted the Ontario Seniors in 2024. Lovely, well designed course that is relatively flat & doesn't stray too far from the clubhouse. Has driving range, golf simulators & fine dining. Golf attire required. See website | https://www.dalewood.ca/golf-c... |
| Ashbrook | Located on Dale Road next to Dalewood, Ashbrook is public course with driving range. Fairly flat course with some long holes that take you away from the club house. Casual attire permitted. | https://www.ashbrookgolfclub.c... |
